S.O.A.P Method
Scripture
Read the day’s passage. Our plan includes about 1 chapter per day, with a mix of Old Testament, New Testament and Psalms/Proverbs.
Observation
What does is the Bible saying to its original audience? How does it apply to us today? What does it teach us about God? About man? About God's plan of salvation through His Son Jesus?
Application
What truths must be applied to you today? How can you align your life with what God's Word is saying? What next steps can you take in the Lord?

Prayer
Respond to God in prayer. Thank Him for His Truth and ask for guidance. If the verses include a prayer, pray that as your own prayer to the Lord.
Each month’s reading plans are designed to help us dive deeper into God’s Word. FAQ
Q: What is the S.O.A.P method?
A: The S.O.A.P method is a simple way to study the Bible by focusing on four steps:
S – Scripture: Read the day’s passage and write down a verse that stands out.
O – Observation: Reflect on what the passage reveals about God’s character, actions, or promises.
A – Application: Consider how you can live in light of what you’ve learned about God.
P – Prayer: Respond to what you’ve learned by praying for guidance, understanding, and strength.
Q: How long does it take to complete the daily reading?
A: Each day’s reading is designed to be manageable and typically takes 10–15 minutes. However, feel free to take as much time as you need to reflect and pray.
Q: What if I miss a day?
A: Don’t worry! Life happens. You can either catch up on missed readings during the Catch Up/Reflect days or simply continue with the current day’s reading. The goal is to spend time with God consistently, not to be perfect.
Q: Can my kids do the reading plan with me?
A: Absolutely! Each month, we provide a kids' reading plan that follows the same overall structure as the adult plan but with shorter, more focused passages. It’s a great way for families to grow in God’s Word together.
Q: How do I get the current or previous month’s reading plan?
A: You can download the current month’s reading plan directly from this page. Previous months’ plans are also available below if you want to revisit or catch up on past readings.
Q: Do I need anything special to get started?
A: All you need is a Bible, a notebook (or a digital app for notes), and a heart ready to seek God. The S.O.A.P method is flexible—you can adapt it to fit your style of reflection and journaling.
